Jim Kristie's Boards at their Best blog has a tribute to Win Churchill, who Kristie thinks made the single best statement ever about executive compensation. Churchill is a founder and managing general partner of SCP Partnersand a highly respected corporate director. From 1989 to 1993, he served as Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System. And here is what he said about compensation:
